RAW is working in partnership with CAMHS to provide 1:1 outreach youth workers

In a first of its kind project, We have a team of youth workers embedded in camhs across the Thames Valley.

We cover Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire & Berkshire.

Our talented youth workers are commited to engaging young people in pro social activities, assisting them explore educational options, working with their current school or college to increase their attendance, and helping them gain more confidence outside of the home.

Tailored support is provided to meet the needs of the young person. Our team also provides holistic support for the families/caregivers. They work in a multi agency way, with other professionals involved with the family and are a central part of shaping the support they receive.

Our impact.

“Good morning, I am in the process of discharging MV to Horizon and I just wanted to let you know what an absolute joy it has been to work with Matt. He is so incredibly child-led and reflective and has created such a safe space for M, who is engaging beautifully. Matt is a huge part of the reason that M was able to leave school with 6 GCSE's and start his A-levels. And he has got him back on a basketball court, which was the ultimate goal. There has been lots of anxiety around M and I felt so grateful to be working alongside Matt - he manages to be containing in a very positive but totally realistic way. Will miss working with him.

Thanks!” - Professional

D’s mum described you as a “godsend” to the family. She was full of praise for the way you supported D — particularly helping him access College and complete his GCSEs. She said the support from you and the Link team has helped the whole family feel in a much better place, and she couldn’t speak highly enough of the difference it’s made.”

The first time I ever met Chloe, I refused to come out of my room and see her because I thought she was just like every other social worker I'd ever met. Despite that, she still came a second time and I agreed to speak to her. She was nothing like I thought she was going to be. She was so bubbly and kind and all we spoke about was things you'd speak about with a mate. She didn't force me to talk about anything deep unless I felt comfortable. After I met with her a few times I started opening up to her and she was so understanding. She has helped me a lot with my anxiety throughout school and I have grown so much as a person since having her with me. We didn't always just sit and chat, sometimes we would go out to costa or the cinema. She has been like a big sister to me and I'm gonna miss her.
