Essential
Hands-on leadership style, with line management experience. Being proactive, solution-focused, and approachable.
Strong planning, organisation, and communication skills.
The ability to work to multiple deadlines, with priority mangement
Passion for quality, sustainability, and social impact.
Driving licence and ability to drive a 3.5t van.
Desirable
Solid knowledge of furniture production, joinery, and woodworking machinery.
Proven experience leading a workshop, production team, or similar manufacturing environment.
Experience in upcycling, restoration, or circular economy practices.

We’re looking for a hands-on, passionate Furniture Workshop Manager to lead day-to-day operations at RAW Workshop — a social enterprise that’s redefining what modern manufacturing can be.
You’ll oversee a talented team producing high-quality contract furniture, drive efficiency and innovation, and build an inclusive, safe, and inspiring environment. This is a unique opportunity to run a workshop that delivers both excellence and impact -- where every product made helps change lives.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day workshop operations — ensuring production efficiency, top quality output, and smooth project delivery.
Manage and mentor the workshop team, including trainees, fostering a supportive and high-performing culture.
Plan workflows, allocate resources, and manage procurement to keep production on track.
Champion health & safety across all operations, maintaining compliance and a positive safety culture.
Drive continuous improvement - from developing new processes to collaborating with design teams on innovative furniture solutions.
Support RAW’s social mission by training and developing individuals for future employment opportunities.
